Bill (Vasilios) Mavropoulos
I qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2012 starting my career with Nexia ASR (now Moore Stephens) in business services in 2008. This position allowed me to develop a good commercial understanding and grounding across a number of different industries and professions.
I was given the opportunity to delegate and review engagements of more junior staff and develop my network of professional contacts.
I developed a keen interest and proficiency in interpreting and applying tax laws as well as experience in the audit and management accounting business units of the firm.
I subsequently moved to Taxpayers Australia Limited in 2011. In this role I focused on the tax technical and advisory skills gained initially at Nexia ASR. I provided guidance and advice to Chief Financial Officers and partners at both law firms and accounting firms. I wrote for all the technical publications of the business and notably have written for LexisNexis legal publications in respect of tax laws and the constitution. I have a wide breadth of experience from trust taxation and small business to capital gains tax and payroll.
I was then employed at Carrazzo Consulting a boutique tax advisory practice for 2 years and 6 months. As a Partner of that firm, I trained and upskilled a number of junior staff in various aspects of both tax compliance and consulting. I built on the firm's strength in the horse racing industry while, at the same time, bringing a unique blend of practical and highly tax technical skills to broaden the practice's service offerings.
I commenced my own practice on 1 July 2018 with a colleague Tom Palmieri. This practice is built on the standards and principles that have been ingrained in us both from the start of our careers. We provide the very best in professional services to our clients to assist them with the challenging and frenetic pace of change in modern business.

Tom is a qualified CPA (with Distinction) and holds a Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Accounting and Finance (with Distinction) which he earned studying at Deakin University.
